“Caravan to Digital” Initiative Trains Youth in Four Wilayas

The "Caravan to Digital" initiative has announced its second edition, aiming to equip young Algerians with crucial digital skills and professions relevant to the nation's digital transformation. This program seeks to bolster youth employability and address the demands of the contemporary labor market. The new edition was unveiled during a press conference held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at the Algeria Venture headquarters, with the director of the organizing company, Fouad Ben Jellil, present. The initiative connects youth with modern technologies, enhancing their prospects in the digital field.

The initiative targets young people from various wilayas across Algeria, offering free training focused on fundamental digital professions. This allows participants to develop their knowledge and acquire practical tools essential for integrating into the job market and exploring new digital opportunities. The training tour is scheduled to commence in early October, with two full days of sessions planned for each wilaya, accommodating up to 300 participants per session. The program will visit Mascara, Tipaza, Bordj Bou Arreridj, and Ghardaia. Recognized experts will lead these training sessions, covering four key areas: digital marketing and social media, artificial intelligence, launching a startup, and e-commerce.

Organizers affirmed that the second edition continues the path set by the inaugural caravan, specifically focusing on reducing the digital divide and showcasing local talents and competencies. This effort contributes to keeping pace with the rapid transformations occurring within the digital economy. The initiative operates under the high patronage of several key ministries, including the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises; the Ministry of Tourism and Traditional Industries; and the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education. Algeria Venture also participates as a system partner, with additional support from various institutions and stakeholders in the financial and economic sectors.

Through this tour, the "Caravan to Digital" initiative is committed to expanding the reach of digital training beyond major urban centers. It aims to provide a vital platform for youth to discover new skills and professions linked to digital transformation. Furthermore, the program actively encourages project owners and those interested in entrepreneurship to develop their ideas and ventures, fostering a culture of innovation and self-reliance among Algerian youth.
