Religious Affairs Minister Belmehdi Hosts Paris Grand Rector

Youcef Belmehdi, Algeria's Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, received Chems-eddine Hafiz, the Grand Rector of the Great Mosque of Paris, on Thursday at the Ministry's headquarters. The meeting was also attended by Mohamed Ouannoughi, Director General of the Mosque, and officials from the central administration.

The discussions centered on exploring various ways to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry and the Great Mosque of Paris. A primary objective of this enhanced collaboration is to better serve the Algerian diaspora living abroad.

During the visit, Grand Rector Chems-eddine Hafiz presented Minister Belmehdi with a copy of the Holy Quran. This edition was printed under the supervision of the Great Mosque of Paris, coinciding with the celebration of the mosque's centenary.
