Nigerien Youth Depart for Algerian Vocational Training

The second contingent of young Nigerien beneficiaries from the "Programme des 500 jeunes" departed Niamey for Algeria on the morning of Wednesday, September 30, 2026. This group traveled aboard a second aircraft specially chartered by the Algerian side, completing the dispatch of 500 young individuals to Algeria under this vocational training initiative.

The trainees are set to receive instruction across 19 distinct specialties, distributed among various professional training and education centers and institutes throughout Algerian territory. During their stay, the participants will benefit from comprehensive reception and support arrangements, underscoring Algeria's commitment to the success of the program.

This initiative represents a significant step in the ongoing cooperation between Niger and Algeria. Both nations, through this program, reaffirm their dedication to leveraging vocational training as a crucial instrument for skill development and youth integration. The cooperation reflects a shared vision held by President General Abdourahamane Tiani of Niger and President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria, aiming to further strengthen the historical bonds of friendship, fraternity, and solidarity between their countries.
