Algiers Hosts Nigerien Minister for Bilateral Cooperation Talks

Niger’s Minister of Public Service, Labour and Employment, Aïssatou Abdoulaye Tondi, arrived in Algiers on Thursday for discussions with Algeria’s Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Mohamed Hattab. The high-level visit focuses on advancing bilateral cooperation between the two nations across the labour, employment, and public administration sectors.
This engagement is a direct follow-up to recommendations made during the second session of the Algerian-Nigerien Joint Cooperation Commission. It also aligns with governmental directives aimed at consolidating cooperation by activating existing joint agreements and programs, alongside closely monitoring commitments established under bilateral cooperation mechanisms.
A central objective of the talks involves the implementation of commitments related to training, expertise exchange, and the sharing of institutional experience. These efforts are designed to develop skills and strengthen human and institutional capacities within both Algeria and Niger. Furthermore, discussions are set to explore avenues for giving renewed momentum to sectoral cooperation, broadening the overall partnership, and intensifying exchanges between institutions in both countries.
The initiative underscores a concerted effort to advance the common interests of Algeria and Niger, reinforcing the longstanding ties and collaborative spirit between these two neighboring nations.
