Civil Protection Directorate Opens 3,660 Agent Recruitment for 2026

The General Directorate of Civil Protection has announced a comprehensive recruitment competition for 3,660 male civil protection agents, designated for the year 2026. This initiative is designed to reinforce the human resources within the Civil Protection ranks, thereby strengthening the capabilities of its departments and addressing the intervention, rescue, and hazard protection requirements across all wilayas of the nation.

These positions are distributed among the Civil Protection directorates in various wilayas. For instance, Algiers is allocated 400 posts, while Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Oran, and M'Sila each receive 80 posts. Constantine, Annaba, and Boumerdes are assigned 70 posts each, and wilayas such as Medea, Ouargla, Bouira, Blida, and Sidi Bel Abbes will each have 60 new positions, with other wilayas receiving varying allocations. This distribution aims to ensure comprehensive coverage and enhance local emergency response capabilities nationwide.

Prospective candidates must be Algerian nationals, possess full civil rights, and be in a legal situation concerning national service or be exempted for non-medical reasons. Eligibility criteria also include an age range of 19 to 27 years, a minimum height of 1.70 meters, and a vision acuity of 15/20 without corrective lenses, with no less than 7/10 in either eye. Candidates must also have completed the second year of secondary education, possess no tattoos, and pass the medical and psychological examinations administered by the Civil Protection administration. Applications must be submitted within 15 working days from the initial press publication of the competition at the Civil Protection directorate of the candidate's wilaya of residence.
