AAPI Director General Rekache Hosts IMF for Investment Talks

Omar Rekache, Director General of the Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion (AAPI), hosted a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) at the agency's headquarters. The meeting, which included a representative from the Bank of Algeria and AAPI executives, took place as part of the IMF delegation's working visit to Algeria. Its primary focus was to review the advancements made in improving Algeria's business climate and to assess the significant developments within the country's investment framework.

Discussions during the meeting centered on the comprehensive efforts undertaken to enhance the national economy's appeal for investment. Specific initiatives highlighted included the simplification of procedures, improved support for investors, and a commitment to bolstering the transparency and clarity of the investment regulatory framework. The role of the Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion in guiding investors and facilitating the realization of their projects was also a key point, alongside an examination of the current dynamics in both local and foreign investments within Algeria.
