Italian Partnership Forms Digital Platform for Algerian Tourism

Algeria's Ministry of Tourism is set to enhance the nation's international presence as a premier tourist destination through a new digital initiative. The ministry is leveraging Italian experience and the skills of Algerians abroad for this endeavor, as announced in a ministry statement. This strategic move follows a meeting between Minister Houria Meddahi and Karim Ben Adjaoud, an Algerian businessman who heads Ck Cooperation S.r.l. in Italy, accompanied by Gianni Pasquetto, General Director of the "My Temple Art" platform, and other Italian tourism specialists.
The core objective of this collaboration is the creation of a dedicated Algerian digital platform, which will operate via the Italian "My Temple Art" platform. This new platform will showcase Algeria's diverse tourism offerings, encompassing Saharan, thermal and therapeutic, cultural, ecological, coastal, and spiritual tourism. The overarching goal is to significantly increase the influx of foreign tourists to Algeria, thereby boosting the country's economic potential in the tourism sector.
The meeting concluded with the signing of an agreement to formally launch the project for this new digital tourism promotion platform. Ck Cooperation S.r.l. has affirmed its readiness to implement the project alongside Algeria and to contribute to its financing. Minister Meddahi welcomed the project's initiation, confirming her department's commitment to its realization and emphasizing its aim to harness the expertise of Algerians living abroad for the international promotion of Algerian tourism.
