Oslo Hosts ‘Algerian Day’ for Economic Showcase

Algeria is highlighting its economic and cultural potential in Scandinavia through a dedicated "Algerian Day" event in Oslo. This manifestation is held on the eve of the 15th Nordic-African Business Summit, scheduled for October 8th, where Algeria participates as a special guest of honor. The event and the summit participation aim to underscore the country's diverse capabilities and open new avenues for collaboration with Northern European operators and investors.
The Nordic-African Business Summit, established in 2011, is recognized as a primary economic platform for the African continent within the Nordic region. Algeria's presence as a special guest provides a prominent forum to introduce its investment opportunities and establish new partnerships with businesses and investors from Nordic countries. This initiative aligns with Algeria's broader objective to diversify its economic partnerships and draw increased foreign investment into its productive sectors.
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune appointed the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries, Sid Ali Khaldi, to lead the Algerian delegation to this significant economic gathering. The Algerian participation in Oslo seeks to present the reforms undertaken to enhance the business environment, showcase the capacities of the national market, and highlight opportunities across various sectors. This strategic visibility can facilitate direct engagement between Algerian economic actors and their European counterparts.
