Leïla Aslaoui Secures Venice Commission Scientific Council Vice-Presidency

Algeria has secured the Vice-Presidency of the Scientific Council of the European Commission for Democracy through Law, an international body commonly known as the Venice Commission. Ms. Leïla Aslaoui, who serves as the President of the Constitutional Court, represents Algeria in this significant role. The election saw Algeria's representative secure the position by a majority of votes, reflecting strong international support.

This achievement, which occurred during the 148th session of the European Commission for Democracy through Law, reinforces Algeria's presence and legal influence on the international stage. The outcome also signals a clear recognition of Algerian expertise within crucial international legal and democratic institutions, further strengthening the country's engagement with European bodies.
