Aïn M’lila Inaugurates New Automotive Filter, Lubricant Units

The commune of Aïn M’lila in Oum El Bouaghi wilaya recently saw the inauguration of two new industrial units dedicated to automotive filters and lubricants. Minister of Industry, Farid Kourtel, accompanied by Wali of Oum El Bouaghi, Benabdallah Chaïd Eddour, presided over the opening of these privately funded facilities, marking a concrete step in Algeria’s industrial expansion efforts.

One of the newly operational units focuses on manufacturing filters for a range of vehicles, including cars, heavy-duty trucks, and industrial machinery. This facility boasts a production capacity of 3,000 filters daily and represents a private investment totaling 1.195 billion dinars. Complementing this, an industrial unit specializing in motor oils and lubricants was also inaugurated in Aïn M’lila's industrial zone. This second plant, established through an investment of 1.2 billion dinars, can produce 25,000 tons of lubricants annually and has generated 207 direct employment opportunities.

During his visit, Minister Kourtel emphasized that the objective was to evaluate and support economic operators contributing to the nation's industrial foundation and its integration rate. He encouraged industrialists to enhance their investment capabilities, prioritize local raw materials, guarantee product quality, and strategically price their goods to further support national industry. The inauguration of these units underscores ongoing efforts to bolster local production and industrial self-sufficiency.
