Paris Embassy Launches Arabic Teacher Recruitment Drive

The Algerian Embassy in Paris, through its service responsible for Arabic language education in France, has announced a recruitment drive for 48 part-time contract teachers. This initiative, detailed in a notice published on October 27, 2026, aims to fill positions for Arabic language instruction in French public elementary schools. Candidates have a limited period to submit their applications, with the deadline set for November 5, 2026.

The campaign addresses a demand across various French departments, targeting 165 schools and 229 student groups. The Île-de-France region presents the highest need, seeking 23 teachers, particularly in Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-d’Oise, and Essonne. The South-East region follows with 11 available positions, mainly in Bouches-du-Rhône and Alpes-Maritimes. Additionally, five teachers are sought in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, four in Hauts-de-France, four in Grand-Est, and one position in the South-West. Applicants are invited to indicate their preferred geographical areas of employment.

Eligibility for these roles is restricted to Algerian nationals residing in France who possess an Algerian university degree or equivalent in Arabic language teaching. Prospective teachers must also demonstrate a minimum French language proficiency of B2 level on the CEFR, although holders of French state or national higher education diplomas are exempt from this requirement. The application dossier must include a handwritten request, a CV with a recent photograph, proof of nationality and residency, a criminal record extract, a medical certificate, and a certified copy of the relevant diploma. Applicants may also provide documentation of their professional experience. All applications are to be submitted to the head of the Arabic language education service at the Algerian Embassy, located at 171, rue de la Croix-Nivert, 75015 Paris, during the designated application period.
