Paris Saint-Germain Targets Algerian Forward Ibrahim Maza

Algerian forward Ibrahim Maza is reportedly a top target for French club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for a potential winter transfer. Algerian journalist Brahim Hanifi initially reported PSG's strong interest in the 20-year-old attacker, with Sky adding that the wealthy French club could seek to acquire Maza as early as the winter transfer window. PSG reportedly views Maza as a possible replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is expected to miss the remainder of the season due to a serious knee injury.

Maza has demonstrated strong performances for Bayer 04 this season, contributing three goals and three assists in ten competitive appearances. His talent also saw him represent Algeria at last season's Africa Cup of Nations, where his contributions garnered attention. The Algerian forward's growing profile was further recognized with a nomination for the Kopa Trophy, an award celebrating the year's best young player, where he ultimately finished ninth.

PSG's interest in Maza is described as highly determined, with the club reportedly aiming to sign him "at any cost" and having already registered their interest with the player and his management. Maza's potential has also drawn praise from fellow professionals, notably PSG superstar Ousmane Dembele, who publicly commented on Maza's Instagram with the aspiration, "The next Ballon d'Or, God willing." While Maza's contract with Bayer Leverkusen runs until 2030, PSG's reported consideration of a winter transfer underscores the high regard for the Algerian talent.
