National Media Mobilized for Development, Against Hostile Campaigns

The 64th anniversary of Algeria's national sovereignty over its radio and television institutions was commemorated on October 28, marking a significant event for the nation's communication sector. The ceremony, held in the presence of Minister of Communication Mohamed Bouslimani, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Communication Kamal Sidi Said, and other officials, honored the foundational efforts that established and maintained national broadcasting.
During the commemoration, Minister Bouslimani called upon current media professionals to actively engage in defending the nation's interests. He specifically urged them to "mobilize to confront all attacks the homeland is subjected to from hostile parties," highlighting a proactive role for the media in safeguarding Algeria against external challenges.
Furthermore, the Minister stressed the media's vital function in supporting the country's economic and social advancement. He emphasized the necessity for journalists to "accompany development efforts," a sentiment echoed by Hicham Allali, Director-General of Public Radio, who underlined the media's significant role in fostering development across all sectors. This collective emphasis underscores the strategic importance of national media in both protection and progress.
