Minister Kourtel, Savola CEO Discuss Algerian Agro-Food Expansion

Algerian Industry Minister Farid Kourtel convened a meeting on Wednesday in Algiers with a delegation from the Saudi Savola Group, a key player in the agro-food industries sector. The delegation was led by the group's CEO, Sameh Hassan, and included the General Manager of its Algerian subsidiary. Officials from the Algerian Ministry of Industry were also present during the discussions.

The meeting served as an opportunity to review the Saudi company's current operations within Algeria and to consider prospects for short-term development. A core component of this discussion involved an approach centered on increasing the local integration rate of activities and strengthening existing production capacities across its operations in the country.

Furthermore, the participants explored avenues for expanding the Savola Group's investments in Algeria and enhancing its footprint within the national market.
