Algiers – Experts and academics agree that the upcoming military parade, set to take place on Friday along National Road 11 near the Djamaa El Djazair Mosque in Algiers to mark the 70th anniversary of Algeria’s Liberation Revolution, carries powerful symbolic messages. This grand display underscores the deep bond between the Algerian people and the National People’s Army (ANP), while also showcasing the ANP’s growing military capabilities.
Dr. Idris Attia, Professor of Political Science and International Relations, emphasized in an interview with Radio One that the parade carries significant symbolic meaning. He explained that the November Revolution represents a national symbol of unity and bravery, with the parade reflecting the spirit of sacrifice that characterized the armed struggle against French colonialism. According to Attia, “the parade will deliver a powerful message that Algeria is a strong, secure, and stable nation.”
Security expert Ali Rouina noted that the parade will highlight the advanced capabilities of the Algerian military, particularly in terms of armaments and technological development. He stressed that Algeria’s leadership is committed to elevating the National People’s Army to the level of the world’s most advanced military forces.
Coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the revolution, this parade serves as a vital event to honor the sacrifices of Algeria’s fallen heroes and reinforce their legacy. It is also an opportunity to showcase the readiness of Algeria’s defenders and the remarkable progress of the army, the inheritor of the National Liberation Army’s legacy, across various military domains.
