Bou Ismail Maritime School Opens New Academic Year, Signs Industry Pacts

The National Superior Maritime School in Bou Ismail, located in Tipaza province, has officially inaugurated its 2026-2027 academic year. This opening ceremony also featured the signing of a framework cooperation agreement with several national maritime complexes. This partnership is designed to strengthen connections between higher maritime education institutions and industry stakeholders. Its core objectives include supporting pedagogical and professional activities, expanding opportunities for continuous training and qualification to meet the sector's evolving needs, and ultimately fostering the development of professional competencies and elevating performance standards.
This collaboration is expected to contribute significantly to the professionalization of Algeria's maritime workforce, ensuring a steady supply of skilled personnel tailored to the demands of the port and shipping industries. The inauguration ceremony concluded with a tribute to several retired professors from the school, honoring their extensive careers and invaluable contributions to the training and qualification of national maritime expertise.
