Ibrahim Maza Sought by Paris Saint-Germain for January Window

Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly preparing a substantial January transfer deal to acquire young talent Ibrahim Maza from Bayer Leverkusen. The French club's pursuit follows the season-ending knee injury sustained by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, necessitating an urgent search for an attacking replacement. Maza, a highly-rated 20-year-old Algerian international, has been identified by PSG's sporting advisor Luis Campos as a priority target to bolster the team's offensive capabilities during the winter transfer window.
According to Fichajes, Maza perfectly aligns with the specific requirements outlined by PSG coach Luis Enrique. The forward initially honed his skills with Hertha Berlin before achieving prominence in Germany's top tiers. His impressive tactical versatility and technical abilities have captured the attention of PSG's recruitment team. Maza has demonstrated strong form for Bayer Leverkusen this season, contributing three goals and three assists in just eight appearances across all competitions.
Securing the Algerian international's services is anticipated to be a considerable financial undertaking for Paris Saint-Germain, with initial estimates suggesting an offer of at least 50 million euros would be required to test Leverkusen's position. Bayer Leverkusen, however, is not expected to part with their valuable attacking player easily, having previously rejected transfer attempts from major clubs such as Atletico Madrid, Manchester City, and Arsenal. Furthermore, Leverkusen officials are actively engaged in negotiations for a new, lucrative contract for Maza, aiming to secure his long-term future with the club, despite his current contract extending until 2030.
