National Industry to Produce First 100% Algerian Vehicle

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has announced a significant stride towards national industrial autonomy, revealing plans for Algeria to produce its first fully Algerian-made vehicle by the end of 2028. This declaration underscores a governmental commitment to bolstering national production and fostering robust industrial development within the country.

The upcoming vehicle is set to utilize 100% locally manufactured components, marking a crucial step in strengthening Algeria's manufacturing capabilities. This focus on local content is central to the broader strategy aimed at reinforcing the nation's industrial base and reducing reliance on external supply chains.

Further supporting these objectives, President Tebboune has directed the government to establish a dedicated economic institution. This entity will be responsible for acquiring and storing surplus production from various sectors, subsequently making these products available to the market. This initiative is designed to stimulate national industry, ensure consistent market supply, and contribute to the overall economic diversification strategy.
