Special School Grants Now Include Wadi Mizab Private Students

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has expanded the special school grant to include students attending private schools within the Wadi Mizab region. This presidential decision received appreciation from a delegation of local dignitaries from Wadi Mizab, Ghardaia province, who conveyed their gratitude during a meeting with Souria Mouloudji, the Minister of National Solidarity, Family, and Women's Issues.
The delegation, which included former and current members of the Council of the Nation and the People's National Assembly, lauded the move as a significant initiative. They affirmed that the expansion of the special school grant is intended to support students and uphold the principle of equal opportunities, ensuring that eligible families benefit from the social support mechanisms directed towards schooling. This reflects the state's commitment to assisting deserving families.
This expansion followed a review of the regulatory text governing the special school grant, undertaken by the Ministry of National Solidarity, Family, and Women's Issues under the supervision of Minister Mouloudji. The review concluded with the issuance of Executive Decree No. 26-307 on September 22, 2026. This decree amends and supplements Executive Decree No. 25-168 of June 22, 2025, and was published in Official Gazette No. 69 on September 28, 2026, officially extending the benefit to private school students in Wadi Mizab who meet the stipulated legal conditions.
