Team Algeria Dominates Central African Republic in Qualification Race

The Algerian national women's football team has made a strong start in the qualifications for the 2028 Olympic Games in Africa, securing a decisive aggregate victory. In a recent two-leg qualifying match, Algeria showcased exceptional form, overcoming the Central African Republic with commanding wins of 8-0 and 7-0. This combined 15-0 triumph underscores the team's formidable presence in the African Olympic race.

The team's performance included notable moments of skill and athleticism. During the second leg of the encounter, held at the Hocine-Aït-Ahmed stadium in Tizi Ouzou, Algerian player Lynda Bendris, who plays for Cannes, scored an exceptional acrobatic scissor-kick goal early in the match. This spectacular display of talent contributed to Algeria's dominant display.

With this victory, Algeria has successfully advanced in the qualification process. The team is now scheduled to compete against Burkina Faso in a subsequent round of the Olympic qualifiers, with further stages of the tournament set to unfold throughout 2027. Ultimately, only two African national teams will secure berths at the Los Angeles Olympic Games, underscoring the high stakes of the ongoing competition.
