545,000 Housing Units Set for 2027 Finance Law

Algerian Minister of Housing, Urban Planning, and the City, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, announced Thursday the registration of 545,000 housing units across various categories as part of the 2027 finance law program. This significant initiative underscores the government's commitment to addressing the nation's housing needs and improving living conditions for its citizens.

Among the total units, 350,000 are designated under the AADL 3 (Agence Nationale de l'Amélioration et du Développement du Logement) sale-leaseback scheme. This particular program is designed to provide decent housing options to a broad segment of the population, specifically aiming to meet the increasing demand for social housing throughout the country. The announcement was made during the presentation of the draft finance law.

The announcement of this ambitious 2027 housing program follows a period of ongoing development in the sector. Minister Belaribi also noted the expectation of distributing 400,000 housing units by the end of 2026, further highlighting the continuous efforts to expand access to housing across Algeria. This consistent focus reflects the state's strategic approach to public welfare and urban development.
