Algeria Enhances Diaspora Connection with New Educational Program for Expatriate Youth

Algeria is set to launch an innovative educational program aimed at strengthening the ties between children of the national community abroad and their motherland. This initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, will offer specialized classes during the summer vacation period.

Algerian diaspora educational program

The program, which will run from July 6 to August 13, is designed for young Algerians aged 8 to 16 living overseas. Its primary objective is to reinforce their connection to Algerian identity, encompassing linguistic, historical, cultural, and religious dimensions. This project underscores the high authorities' commitment to nurturing the bonds between the diaspora and Algeria, addressing the educational needs of younger generations.

Senior officials, including the Secretary of State for the National Community Abroad, Soufiane Chaib, and the Minister of National Education, Mohamed Small Saïdawi, convened to finalize the arrangements for this joint undertaking. The collaborative effort ensures a pedagogical approach tailored to the students' requirements, enriching their understanding of national heritage.

Children of the Algerian diaspora interested in participating can find details about the program's content and complete registration procedures through Algeria's diplomatic and consular representations abroad. Additionally, applications can be submitted via email to summercamp2026@mae.dz.
