President Tebboune Honors FLN Football Veterans for Revolution Role
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune today received a delegation representing the Foundation of FLN Football Team Veterans, led by its president, Mohamed Maouch. During the audience, the President was honored by the historic Algerian team, an act conveyed through Mr. Maouch. The meeting saw the presence of several government officials, including Brahim Mourad, Minister of State for the General Inspectorate of State Services and Local Collectivities; Kamel Sidi Saïd, Advisor to the President for Communication; Abdelmalek Tacherift, Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders; and Walid Sadi, Minister of Sports and President of the Algerian Football Federation.
Following the reception, Mr. Maouch conveyed the Foundation members' long-held desire to meet President Tebboune and express gratitude for his significant interest in the revered historical team. He underscored the "extraordinary" journey of the FLN team, which prominently carried the message of the national liberation revolution across the globe. The team's tours captivated international audiences not only with Algerian football but also with the exemplary conduct of its players as dedicated militants and revolutionaries, cementing an unforgettable chapter in national history.
