Béjaïa Welcomes Saudi-Based Diaspora for Summer Camps

Béjaïa province recently hosted a group of Algerian nationals residing in Saudi Arabia as part of the 2026 summer camp program. The delegation was received with a joyful and welcoming atmosphere at the Mohamed Boudiaf Youth Hostel in Oqas municipality, where the Directorate of Youth and Sports ensured all necessary conditions were met for a distinguished stay and full participation in planned activities.

This program aligns with directives from the Minister of Youth, who is also responsible for the Supreme Council for Youth, specifically concerning summer camps for the national diaspora residing abroad in 2026. The initiative reflects the youth sector's policy to reinforce the bond between diaspora members and their motherland, enabling them to explore Béjaïa's rich tourism, cultural, and historical assets.

The Director of Youth and Sports, Qijali Maatoub, highlighted the importance of this engagement. Furthermore, another delegation comprising Algerian diaspora members from Tunisia is anticipated to arrive later, expanding the reach and impact of the summer camp program.
