Economic Growth Focus of New Finance Law Plan

The Algerian government, presided over by Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb, recently convened to discuss the preliminary draft of the 2027 Finance Law and review the implementation of decisions made by the President of the Republic. This meeting underscored the government's commitment to advancing economic growth, expediting national economic diversification, and supporting productive investment. Furthermore, the discussions emphasized the importance of preserving citizens' purchasing power and strengthening social cohesion.
The preliminary draft of the 2027 Finance Law outlines continued support for productive investment and the execution of structural projects. Priority is given to operations that demonstrate a significant impact on economic and social development. The plan also includes measures to enhance the national infrastructure network, improve territorial planning, and reduce logistics costs, signaling a comprehensive approach to national development.
Beyond economic initiatives, the draft law reflects a commitment to addressing social needs. It aims to maintain purchasing power and meet societal requirements through reinforced support mechanisms and ongoing public programs in key sectors, including education, health, housing, and basic infrastructure. Additionally, the text incorporates several provisions designed to improve the investment climate and enhance support for economic operators, notably with the operational launch of the single investment window initiated by the President of the Republic.
Further measures within the draft include accelerating administrative modernization, optimizing the mobilization of public resources through simplified procedures, strengthening tax compliance, and continuing the digital transformation of the administration. Following this examination, the preliminary draft of the 2027 Finance Law is slated for presentation at an upcoming Council of Ministers meeting for final approval.
