Lebanese Council President, Algerian Minister Discuss Economic Ties

The Algerian Minister of Industry, Professor Farid Kourtel, recently held discussions with Dr. Charles Arbid, President of the Lebanese Economic, Social and Environmental Council, during Dr. Arbid's visit to Algeria. The meeting centered on exploring avenues to strengthen economic and industrial cooperation between Algeria and Lebanon. This interaction served as an occasion to identify new opportunities for bilateral partnership between the two nations.

During their encounter, both officials reviewed possibilities for enhancing economic and industrial collaboration and expanding various areas of partnership. Discussions also covered prospects for promoting joint investments and increasing trade exchanges. Minister Kourtel took the opportunity to highlight Algeria's favorable investment climate, underscoring the incentives and advantages offered by its current investment law. He extended an invitation to Lebanese investors and business leaders to capitalize on the numerous opportunities available across different sectors in Algeria.

Both the Algerian Minister and the Lebanese Council President emphasized the importance of elevating bilateral economic and industrial cooperation to a level commensurate with the strong existing relations between Algeria and Lebanon. A significant point of discussion was the re-activation of the Algerian-Lebanese Business Council. This initiative is aimed at fostering stronger communication between economic operators in both countries, thereby facilitating the implementation of joint projects and partnerships.
