President Tebboune Allocates Funds for Algerian Hajj Pilgrims

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has authorized a significant financial contribution towards the Hajj expenses for Algerian pilgrims. This decision was made during a Council of Ministers meeting held on Sunday, underscoring the government's commitment to supporting its citizens in fulfilling their religious obligations.
The presidential initiative sets the Hajj cost at 82 million centimes for all pilgrims. This measure directly addresses an approximate 7 million centime increase recorded for this Hajj season, aiming to mitigate the financial burden on individuals preparing for the pilgrimage.
According to a statement from the Council of Ministers, President Tebboune's intervention reflects efforts to ensure accessibility for Algerian citizens undertaking the Hajj, demonstrating practical support amid rising costs and contributing to the preservation of purchasing power for pilgrims.
