Dinar Achieves Strongest Euro Valuation in Twelve Months

The Algerian dinar has recorded its highest value against the euro on the official exchange market in a year, reaching 150.52 dinars for one euro on October 2, 2026. This represents the dinar's strongest position since November 28, 2025, when the euro was quoted at 150.89 dinars. This upward trend reflects a positive shift in the national currency's valuation on the official exchange.
For context, the euro was valued at 153.60 dinars at the start of the year on January 2, 2026. By late August, the euro was trading at over 155 dinars. Historically, the dinar's lowest level against the euro was registered in January 2021, when one euro was equivalent to 162.77 dinars.
This strengthening of the national currency occurs in a broader international context where the euro has seen a decline against the US dollar, with the European currency currently at 1.12 dollars and experiencing its fourth consecutive week of depreciation. Despite the US dollar's global strengthening, its value against the Algerian dinar on the official market has remained stable, recorded at 133.64 dinars on October 2, a figure consistent with its value of 133.01 dinars on August 31. Parallel market rates for both the euro and the dollar have not mirrored these official fluctuations, with the euro remaining stable above 270 dinars for several weeks and the dollar near 240 dinars.
