Boumerdes Hosts Training Launch for 88 Nigerien Professionals

Minister of Vocational Education and Training, Nassima Arhab, oversaw the official launch of a training course for 88 vocational workers from the Republic of Niger in Boumerdes province. This event marks the initial phase of a comprehensive program designed to train 500 Nigerien professionals across ten provinces nationwide. The ceremony was also attended by Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security Mohamed Hattab, and Niger's Minister of Public Service, Labor and Employment, Aissatou Abdoulaye Tondi, alongside local officials and the Nigerien Ambassador.
The initiative is undertaken in line with directives from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aimed at reinforcing Algeria's relations with African sister nations and expanding cooperation in human resource development. This commitment is viewed as a sincere expression of Algeria's deep African engagement, embodying a firm conviction that intra-African collaboration should extend beyond economic exchanges to encompass human development, scientific knowledge transfer, and capacity building.
Algerian training institutions are dedicating their expertise and resources to serve African partners, enabling Nigerien youth to acquire knowledge and skills crucial for their country's economic and social advancement. The program encompasses 19 specializations, including agriculture, aquaculture, plumbing, IT maintenance, tourism, and solar energy system installation. This extensive effort is intended to foster closer ties between Algerian and Nigerien youth, forging new connections between the brotherly nations and underscoring Algeria's belief that Africa's future is built on shared knowledge and cooperation.
