Council of Ministers Approves 2027 Finance Law Supporting Public Stability

The Council of Ministers has approved the draft 2027 Finance Law, which reinforces the state's commitment to protecting citizen purchasing power and preserving social gains. The proposed legislation concurrently aims to support financial balances and ensure the continuity of public spending. This comprehensive framework encompasses a series of measures designed to enhance the living standards of citizens and implement financial mechanisms intended to bolster overall financial stability.
Key financial projections within the draft law indicate that oil tax revenues are estimated to reach 3,260.558 billion dinars. This figure significantly exceeds the 2,365.2 billion dinars of oil tax collected in the budget, allowing for an allocation of approximately 895.8 billion dinars to the Revenue Regulation Fund. This financial strategy is designed to maintain public finance stability and effectively manage fluctuations related to hydrocarbon revenues, thereby ensuring sustained funding for social policy programs and related expenditures.
In parallel with strengthening financial balances, the draft law places considerable emphasis on maintaining purchasing power and improving the citizen's living environment. This includes specific provisions such as the extension of certain customs exemptions and reductions, particularly those applicable to the import of selected food and animal products. These measures are intended to support market supply and alleviate pressures on prices, contributing to a more stable economic environment for the populace.
