Investment Promotion Agency Releases 197.5 Hectares in Eight Wilayas

The Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion (AAPI) announced the approval of 79 economic land plots, encompassing a total area of 197.5 hectares, distributed across eight wilayas. These plots are slated for imminent release on the digital investor platform, providing new opportunities for project holders seeking economic land in Algeria. This decision emerged from the second ordinary session of AAPI's board of directors, held on October 5, 2026, at the agency's headquarters, presided over by Abdelrazak Azab with Director General Omar Rekkache also attending.

The allocation of economic land for investment is managed through a regulated digital procedure, as detailed in executive decree n° 26-154 of April 14, 2026. This process requires project proponents to submit comprehensive technical-economic studies and provide justifications for their financial capabilities. During the same board meeting, an additional 17 investment projects were approved to receive economic land from previously offered selections, further underscoring the ongoing efforts to facilitate investment. The approved plots are granted under 33-year renewable concessions, which are convertible into outright sales under specified legal conditions.

While the specific wilayas, individual plot sizes, and intended economic activities for the 79 newly approved plots have not yet been detailed, these particulars are expected to be available upon their publication on the digital platform. Investors are encouraged to monitor AAPI's official announcements and the platform for precise conditions, required documents, and application deadlines. The forthcoming availability of these significant land assets marks a further step in mobilizing economic land to support national investment objectives.
