Kuwaiti Envoy Commends Algerian Pharma, Eyes Joint Efforts

Kuwait is pursuing enhanced bilateral cooperation with Algeria in the pharmaceutical industry, focusing on leveraging Algeria's experience in pharmaceutical production and meeting medical needs. This initiative follows a meeting between Kuwait's Ambassador to Algeria, Nawaf Boushiba, and Algerian Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Wassim Kouidri, held recently at the ministry's headquarters in Algiers. Senior officials from the sector were also present during the discussions, which were subsequently detailed in a press statement by the Kuwaiti Embassy.
Both sides lauded the deep-rooted historical ties connecting their nations and underscored the importance of expanding collaboration within the pharmaceutical industry. This sector is recognized by both countries as increasingly vital for healthcare systems and medical supply chains. Ambassador Boushiba specifically commended the diverse and successful operations of Algerian pharmaceutical companies, noting their significant contribution to meeting domestic market demand and supplying other medical necessities.
The discussions further explored avenues to support joint efforts in advancing pharmaceutical manufacturing and the production of medical supplies. Ambassador Boushiba reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in these critical industries, emphasizing the need for coordination between the relevant authorities in both countries.
