Inaugural Hot Air Balloons and Kites Festival to Draw Over 70

The first International Hot Air Balloons and Kites Festival is scheduled to take place in Timimoun, within the area known as the Red Oasis, from October 28 to November 2. This inaugural event, confirmed by its organizers, is set to attract a significant number of participants.

Preparations are underway for the festival, which marks a new international initiative for the region. Over 70 participants are expected to attend, according to statements made by the festival's organizers on Thursday. This gathering will highlight the distinct landscape of Timimoun.

The six-day festival, running through early November, will offer a platform for both hot air balloon enthusiasts and kite fliers. Its establishment as an international event underscores the potential for future similar gatherings in the region.
