Prime Minister Chairs Joint Ministerial Meeting on Red Meat Marketing

In implementation of the President’s instructions given at the latest Council of Ministers meeting, aimed at regulating the prices of staple consumer goods and safeguarding citizens’ purchasing power, the Prime Minister chaired a joint ministerial council meeting today, Thursday, October 22, 2026, devoted to following up on the red meat marketing file.
The meeting was attended by the ministers concerned, along with the Secretary General of the General Union of Algerian Merchants and Artisans (UGCAA) and representatives of the organization’s Red Meat Federation.
On this occasion, participants heard the concerns and proposals of the sector’s representatives, particularly regarding the wide and regular availability of red meat at regulated prices within consumers’ reach.
