Red Meat Prices: Prime Minister Chairs High-Level Government Meeting

ALGIERS — The Prime Minister chaired an interministerial council meeting dedicated to monitoring the red meat marketing file. The session was attended by relevant ministers, the Secretary-General of the General Workers Union (UGTA), representatives of the General Union of Algerian Merchants and Artisans (UGCAA), and delegates from the Red Meat Federation under the National Consumers Organization .

This gathering followed the directives issued by President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, which aimed to regulate the prices of essential consumer goods and safeguard citizens’ purchasing power. During the discussions, officials examined key measures to stabilize the market and strengthen control mechanisms across the sector.
