Abha Airport Attack Death Spurs Algerian Citizen Safety Response

Algeria has issued a strong condemnation of the missile attacks that targeted Abha and King Khalid International Airports within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These acts are considered by Algeria to constitute a clear violation of both international law and international humanitarian law. In response, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated its complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the inherent danger of assaults on civilian facilities, vital infrastructure, and the lives of innocent civilians.
Adding to its denunciation, the Ministry conveyed profound sorrow regarding the death of an Algerian national, which occurred as a result of the missile attack on Abha International Airport. Following this incident, the Algerian Embassy in Riyadh, alongside the Consulate General in Jeddah, promptly engaged with the relevant Saudi authorities. This diplomatic outreach was initiated to closely monitor the circumstances surrounding the incident and to ensure all necessary actions are taken.
Algeria underscored its unwavering commitment to safeguarding the safety and security of its citizens, whether at home or abroad.
