Air Algérie Relaunches Algiers-Tripoli Route with New Partnership

Air Algérie has entered into a significant ground assistance agreement with Libyan Ground Handling Services, a move set to facilitate the relaunch of the Algiers-Tripoli air route. This new partnership will underpin Air Algérie's operations at Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli, with flights resuming on October 28. The national carrier plans to operate two weekly flights on this route.
The resumption of the Algiers-Tripoli service is a key component of Air Algérie's strategic initiative to bolster its inter-African air connections. This enhancement also serves to solidify Algiers airport's role as a major regional aviation hub, reflecting a broader commitment to expanding air links across the continent and beyond.
Starting October 28, the scheduled flights between Algiers and Tripoli will be available every Wednesday and Friday. This particular route relaunch follows Air Algérie's recent expansion efforts, which have seen the airline inaugurate or re-establish several other connections, including to N'Djamena, Libreville, Luanda, Manchester, Berlin, and Doha, as part of its growing international network.
