Algiers-Tripoli Direct Flights Resume via Air Algérie

Air Algérie has officially announced the resumption of its direct flights to Tripoli, Libya, marking an end to a ten-year suspension of service to the Libyan capital. The national airline confirmed on September 30 that reservations are now open, with the inaugural flight from Algiers to Tripoli scheduled for October 28.

The resumed service offers competitive fares, with a one-way ticket from Algiers starting at 28,383 Algerian Dinars. A return flight from Tripoli is available from 25,144 Algerian Dinars. These fares include both a hand baggage allowance and a checked baggage allowance. Tickets purchased under this offer are modifiable, though they are non-refundable.

The airline’s return to Libya, following its withdrawal after the outbreak of civil war in 2011, aligns with its broader strategy of international redeployment. This initiative aims to strengthen the positioning of Algiers International Airport as a central hub connecting Africa, Asia, North America, and Europe, a development supported by the acquisition of new aircraft, including Airbus and Boeing models.
