Brahim Merad Oversees the Installation of Mohamed Mezian as Wali of Bejaia

The Minister of State, Minister of the Interior and Local Authorities, Brahim Merad, today oversaw the installation ceremony of Mohamed Mezian as the new Wali (governor) of Bejaia Province, in implementation of the partial reshuffle of walis approved by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The minister arrived at Abane Ramdane International Airport in Bejaia, where he was received, together with the two walis concerned, by the civil, security and military authorities of the province.
The ceremony follows the partial reshuffle in the corps of walis, which is part of the higher authorities’ drive to bring fresh blood into the management of local affairs and strengthen the performance of regional administration.
As is customary on such occasions, the visit’s program will include the formal handover of duties between the outgoing wali and the new one, in the presence of local elected officials and provincial executives.
