Doha AIIB Meeting to Host Algerian Minister’s Discussions
Algeria is set to engage in significant international financial discussions as its Finance Minister participates in the 11th Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Doha, Qatar. The high-level gathering, scheduled from September 27 to 29, brings together finance ministers from numerous nations to address global development challenges. This engagement highlights Algeria's proactive role in seeking international cooperation for economic advancement.
During the meeting, Algeria's representative is slated for crucial discussions with finance ministers from various countries, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Switzerland, India, and Nepal. The broader agenda for the AIIB annual meeting is centered on "Tomorrow’s Infrastructure: Impact and Innovation," reflecting the bank's commitment to sustainable infrastructure development. Topics such as climate finance, digital public infrastructure, and fostering private capital investment in infrastructure projects are anticipated to be key discussion points.
The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, established in 2016 and now comprising 111 members worldwide, aims to promote investment in infrastructure across Asia to enhance sustainable economic development and connectivity.
