Abada Nears Qatar Stars League Move, Valued Over Million Euros
Algerian international defender Achref Abada is close to a significant move to the Qatar Stars League with an offer exceeding one million euros, highlighting his remarkable development and the growing international interest in Algerian football talent.

Algerian international defender Achref Abada is reportedly nearing his first professional experience outside Algeria, with negotiations advancing for a move to Qatar Stars League club Al-Shamal. The Qatari club has submitted an official offer exceeding one million euros to MC Algiers, where Abada is currently under contract until 2029. The proposal is currently under consideration by officials at the Algerian Football Federation, with indications suggesting potential approval due to the attractive financial value of the deal.
Abada has demonstrated significant development in recent seasons, having revitalized his career with Association Chlef following an earlier trial period with ES Setif. His impressive performances there earned him a spot in the national local team, where he participated in the Arab Cup. This success subsequently led to his inclusion in the senior national team, where he has been a consistent presence for over a year, accumulating 13 international matches and scoring a notable goal in his official debut against Guatemala. His tactical flexibility, capable of playing both center-back and right-back, has further enhanced his value and attracted interest from several Arab clubs.
The potential transfer would see Abada embarking on a new challenge in the Qatar Stars League, possibly joining fellow Algerian compatriots Baghdad Bounedjah and Riyad Mahrez. Former MC Algiers player Ayoub Azzi, with his extensive experience in Qatari football, is reportedly facilitating the negotiations. This development underscores the increasing recognition of Algerian football talent on the international stage, marking a positive career milestone for Abada and reflecting favorably on Algerian sports.
