National Investment Window to Streamline Algerian Business

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has issued a presidential decree establishing a national single window for investment, a move aimed at streamlining procedures and enhancing the business climate across Algeria. This initiative is anticipated to provide new dynamism to investment within the country.
The decree, which outlines the tasks, organization, and operation of the National Single Window for Investment, stipulates that the entity will exclusively decide on all contracts, accreditations, and licenses pertinent to investors. It is also tasked with ensuring comprehensive reception, information, consultation, and support services across all investment-related fields.
Furthermore, the single window will develop information systems to grant investors access to essential data required for their project preparations. Its mandate extends to creating and developing dedicated industrial zones for investment projects, identifying investments eligible for economic land, and managing the digital platform serving investors.
Dated October 12, 2026, and published in the latest Official Gazette, Issue 72, the decree follows a working meeting held by President Tebboune late last month to finalize the provisions of the presidential decree before its operational launch. The activation of this single window is expected to invigorate investment by simplifying processes and fostering a more attractive business environment.
