Over One Quintal of Cocaine Seized in Tamanrasset, In Salah

Algerian National Security operational services successfully dismantled two organized criminal networks and seized over one quintal of cocaine this week. These operations were carried out in the wilayas of Tamanrasset and In Salah, marking a significant intervention against illicit drug activities in the region.
The Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) confirmed these results in a communiqué released on Thursday. The statement specified that the services in Tamanrasset and In Salah were responsible for the comprehensive actions that led to the disruption of these criminal organizations.
The seizure of more than 100 kilograms of cocaine, alongside the dismantling of the networks, underscores the robust capabilities of Algeria's security forces. This success demonstrates their ongoing commitment to safeguarding national security and combating organized crime, protecting communities from the impacts of drug trafficking.
