State to Revalue Salaries in 2027, Ensuring Citizen Purchasing Power

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune recently reaffirmed the state's unwavering commitment to a comprehensive salary revaluation scheduled for 2027, emphasizing the government's dedication to improving living standards. During his periodic interview with national press representatives, President Tebboune stated his pledge to realize the remaining 53% of the previously announced salary increases. These significant adjustments are set to be incorporated into the upcoming year's budget.

The President indicated that the application of these increases could occur in either one or two tranches, depending on prevailing conditions. A core priority for the government remains the preservation of citizen purchasing power, a goal that is actively pursued through robust measures designed to combat illicit speculation and practices that negatively impact market prices.

President Tebboune firmly asserted that the government will implement all necessary actions against individuals exploiting market situations for personal gain, whom he described as "parasites." He underscored the gravity of such actions, stating that any harm inflicted upon the people is considered a direct affront. This comprehensive approach highlights the state's resolve to safeguard the economic well-being of its citizens.
