Criminal Network Dismantled in Blida, Eight Arrested

The Blida Wilaya Security's brigade for combating illicit drug trafficking, operating under the judicial police services, successfully dismantled a criminal network active within the wilaya. This operation targeted a group of eight individuals engaged in the illicit trafficking of drugs, psychotropic substances, and various other illegal activities. This action demonstrates the continuous efforts of Algerian security services in combating organized crime and enhancing public safety.

The dismantling followed comprehensive investigations conducted by operational services, under the direct supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office. Detectives identified the eight suspects and located a residence that was being used for storing illicit products. During a subsequent search of the identified premises, officers seized 1.8 kilograms of treated kif, 6,676 psychotropic tablets, two firearms with their respective ammunition, various bladed weapons of different types and sizes, 231,700 Algerian Dinars in cash, and marine light signals.

Following their apprehension, all eight individuals implicated in the network were presented before the public prosecutor at the Blida court. This successful intervention highlights the sustained effectiveness of Algerian law enforcement in disrupting major criminal operations and safeguarding communities across the country.
