Vietnamese Vice-President Meets Algerian Parliamentary Delegation

An Algerian parliamentary delegation recently conducted a bilateral meeting with Nguyen Hong Dien, the Vice-President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This engagement occurred on the sidelines of the 153rd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which was convened in Arusha, Tanzania. The Algerian delegation included Vice-President of the Council of the Nation and head of the delegation Mohamed El-Arabi Slimani, Abdel Rahman Kenchouba, head of the Parliamentary Group of the National Democratic Rally in the Council of the Nation, Rachid Othman, head of the Parliamentary Group of the National Liberation Front Party in the People's National Assembly, and Farida Abri, a deputy in the People's National Assembly.
During the meeting, discussions centered on the current state of bilateral relations between Algeria and Vietnam, exploring avenues to strengthen and elevate these ties to broader levels. The representatives also delved into prospects for joint cooperation between the two nations, aiming to identify new areas for mutual benefit.
Both sides underscored the significant importance of intensifying parliamentary cooperation. They affirmed that such intensified collaboration would contribute substantially to supporting overall bilateral relations and enhancing coordination between the legislative institutions in Algeria and Vietnam. This initiative aims to foster stronger inter-parliamentary dialogue and shared legislative understanding.
