Algiers Prepares to Host 5th African Start-up Conference

The 5th African Start-up Conference (ASC 2026) is scheduled to take place in Algiers from December 5 to 7, 2026, under the high patronage of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Organized by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises, the international event will be held at the International Conference Center (CIC) and will focus on the theme "DEEPTECH: the true challenge."
This significant technology event is designed to bring together entrepreneurs, investors, innovators, and decision-makers. Its primary objective is to explore the future of entrepreneurship and technological development across the African continent. Organizers anticipate attracting more than 25,000 participants, alongside 40 ministerial delegations and 150 investors, highlighting the conference's broad appeal and potential for impact.
A new feature of this edition is the introduction of the African Technology Start-up Prize competition. This initiative will recognize and award three laureates chosen from hundreds of candidates representing various countries throughout Africa. The competition aims to foster innovation and support emerging technological ventures, with registration for ASC 2026 currently open via the official event website.
