Air Algérie Continues Fleet Renewal with New A330neo

Air Algérie is scheduled to receive its sixth Airbus A330neo aircraft on October 16, 2026, at Toulouse-Blagnac. This new long-haul aircraft, registered as 7T-VJG, has completed a series of preparatory stages, including a second test flight on September 30, 2026, and a customer acceptance flight on October 12. These operations precede its official handover to the national airline.

The addition of this Airbus A330neo, serial number MSN 2137, is a continuation of Air Algérie's ongoing fleet modernization efforts, specifically targeting its long-haul operations. The airline has already integrated five similar models into its fleet since late 2025. These include the "Novembre 54" delivered in November 2025, followed by "Ghar Djebilet" and "Yennayer" in January 2026, "Djalia" in April, and "The Fennec" in May.

This delivery signifies Air Algérie's sustained commitment to enhancing its long-haul capabilities. The company anticipates receiving four additional Airbus A330neo aircraft as part of its announced program. Beyond large-capacity jets, the fleet renewal also extends to medium-haul aircraft, with Air Algérie having already received its first three Boeing 737-8 MAX. Plans also include two more Boeing 737-8 MAX by the close of 2026, while its subsidiary Domestic Airlines expects a second ATR 72-600.
