All-Algerian Final Sees Daoud Win African Badminton Gold

Algerian athlete Ayoub Rayane Daoud has secured the gold medal in the men's singles category at the African Badminton Championship, held in Cairo, Egypt. The championship, which ran from September 30 to October 3, concluded with an all-Algerian final where Daoud faced his compatriot Oussama Kedou, who earned the silver medal.

The final match was intensely contested, ultimately seeing Ayoub Rayane Daoud prevail in a two-to-one set victory. Daoud won the initial set 15-12, before Oussama Kedou responded by taking the second set 15-9. The decisive third set concluded with Daoud winning 15-11 after an engaging encounter.

This outcome highlights Algeria's strong showing in continental badminton, with the nation securing both the top two spots in the men's singles event.
