Border Security Foils Over 300 kg Drug Trafficking Operation

The Algerian National People's Army (ANP) has successfully thwarted multiple attempts to smuggle over 300 kilograms of processed cannabis into the national territory. These significant operations were conducted along the border with Morocco, demonstrating the ANP's vigilance in protecting the country's frontiers.

In addition to the large quantity of cannabis, ANP units also seized one kilogram of cocaine and various quantities of a mixture of raw gold and precious stones. These comprehensive security actions were carried out by combined detachments of the ANP, working in coordination with other national security departments.

The thwarting of these smuggling attempts underscores the ongoing effectiveness of Algerian security forces in combating illicit trafficking. Such operations are part of the ANP's continuous efforts to secure the national territory and uphold stability against cross-border criminal activities.
